“To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. Not to dare is to lose oneself.” – Soren Kierkegaard

It takes courage to come to counseling. We have a team of counselors to choose from, all who are committed to listen, empathize, and walk alongside as you share your story, struggles, goals and dreams.  If you’re not sure whether to meet with a counselor by yourself, or whether to bring a partner or family member to counseling, give us a call. Our customer care coordinator can help you decide.

Couples Counseling

There are a number of negative relationship patterns that can create discontent for couples. This is especially true if you are trying to communicate your experience, needs and desires in a way that only seems to antagonize your partner.

If you desire to increase respect, affection, understanding and closeness in your relationship, and you recognize a need to communicate more effectively and resolve conflict, then couples counseling may be right for you. We frequently find that each partner has good intentions but keeps “missing” the other. Although it is normal for relationships to have ups and downs, sometimes a couple will not be able to resolve issues on their own.

We help couples learn to communicate more effectively, resolve conflict, affirm one another and recognize each other’s needs. We also help couples heal from the deeper wounds of betrayal, pornography, infidelity, or revitalize their marriage after years of neglect.

Prepare/Enrich

Prepare/Enrich Program is for couples in the pre-marriage stage, cohabitating couples, and married couples. The Prepare/Enrich Inventory is a 165-item questionnaire that assesses relationship strength and growth areas, and also looks at how family backgrounds and personality styles impact the relationship. If you are interested in the Prepare-Enrich Program, please contact us for more information.  You can find more information about the inventory at the Prepare-Enrich website.

Family Counseling

Families have the potential to offer each family member feelings of safety, significance, and belonging. However, sometimes love and acceptance can feel strained or out of reach.  Families are under a lot of stress these days and undergoing a lot of change. Although one family member may be identified as “having the problem,” it is likely the entire family is contributing.

Whether you are dealing with parent-child conflict, blended families, educational challenges, parenting stress, boundaries with teens, or coping with a life-threatening illness, family therapy aims to help each member develop healthier communication and find solutions that benefit the entire family system.
